The Menus module controls how visitors move through your website. Navigation menus connect key sections like Posts, Categories and important pages such as Contacts into a predictable structure without editing templates.
The Menus module is the central place where you manage navigation on the site. Instead of hardcoding links in templates, you keep them as menu items that can be reordered, enabled or disabled from a single screen.
Each menu has its own purpose, for example main navigation, footer links or a campaign specific menu on a landing page. Editors can maintain all of them without touching code, which keeps navigation stable and easy to update.
The Menus module uses a simple two level structure. First you manage menus themselves, then you work with their items. Menus define locations and purpose, items define the individual links.
This separation keeps navigation logic easy to understand, even when you manage multiple menus per language or per layout.
The main Menus screen shows each menu in a compact table. You can see its language, position and number of items, plus quick actions to edit or open items.
This overview makes it easy to spot unused menus, missing translations or structures that need cleanup.
Each menu has its own items screen where links are created, ordered and enabled or disabled with a checkbox. Items can point to internal content, category listings or external URLs.
Editors can adjust labels and targets without changing templates, which keeps internal links under control and prevents broken URLs.
Menus are designed to work with your content structure. Categories and pages define what exists on the site, menus expose the most important parts to visitors.
This helps avoid overloaded menus and keeps the main navigation focused on high value sections instead of every single page.
Menus can be separated by language so each language has its own set of navigation structures. Labels can follow local conventions while linking to the correct content for that language.
This keeps multilingual navigation predictable and avoids mixing items from different languages in a single menu.
